10 Days Rwanda Gorillas, Chimps and Wildlife Tour

You arrive at the Kigali International Airport where you are welcomed and picked up by a driver guide who transfers you to enjoy a city tour around Kigali as you visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums. Learn about the Genocide in which many Rwandans lost their dear lives.

They will narrate to you how the Genocide happened and the families they lost. Afterwards you shall transfer for lunch then proceed with your city Tour. After the adventure, proceed to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Hotel Chezlando.

Breakfast early in the morning then transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. En route visit the historical and cultural sites in Butare and Nyanza. You shall also visit the National Museum and the National University in Butare as well as the Old King’s Palace (Old Mwami’s palace) in Nyanza. After a while, you shall reach in Nyanza in the evening then to lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura guest House/Nyungwe Forest Lodge

Delicious breakfast in the morning then transfer to enjoy chimpanzee tracking in the park. You shall proceed to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Chimpanzees then later you shall be allocated into groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who transfer you to the starting points where you leave from to enter the green thick forest to track the chimpanzees.

After a while following trails in the forest for a period of 2 to 4 hours watching bird species, primates. After a while, you shall meet the Chimpanzees and stay in their presence taking many photos for a period of 1 hour. After trekking the chimpanzees, you shall transfer to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Gisakura guest house/Nyungwe Forest Lodge.

Delicious morning breakfast then embark on transfer to Volcanoes National Park for a period of 6 to 7 hours with en-route views of the green terrain, bird species. After a while you reach the vast beautiful Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri District. Proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Breakfast early in the morning then transfer to enjoy Gorilla Trekking in the Park. You shall transfer to the Kinigi headquarters where you are welcomed by park ranger guides who take you through briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. Later they shall allocate you into groups of 8 with lead park rangers who transfer you to the starting points then into the green forest vegetation habitat following varying trails for a period of 3 to 5 hours.

You shall transfer from one point to another watching the green terrain, bird species as the rangers inform you about the Park, habitat and Mountain Gorilla Groups you shall trek. After a while, you shall meet the Gorillas and in an hour stay in their presence taking many photos to keep. After trekking the Gorillas, you shall transfer to the park headquarters to obtain your trekking certificate then later continue to lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Other than Gorilla Trekking, travelers can enjoy Golden Monkey Tracking in the Park which offers them a chance to track and watch the rare species of Golden Monkeys in their natural forest habitat.

You shall wake up early have breakfast at the lodge then embark on drive to the Kinigi Park headquarters where you shall get welcomed by experienced park ranger guides who take you through precise briefing on conduct around the Golden Monkeys.

After the briefing session, he shall allocate you into groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who lead you to the starting points where you leave from to enter the forest to trek the Golden Monkeys. Trek the Golden Monkeys for a period of 2 to 4 hours following varying trails in the forest till you meet the Golden Monkeys.

You shall spend an hour in the presence of the Golden monkeys taking many photos to keep. You should use a camera that has no flash. After trekking the Gorillas, you shall return back to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Breakfast in the morning then transfer to explore the Gorilla Guardians Village located a few kilometers off the Park and known to offer beautiful cultural encounters to all travelers. When you reach here, you are welcomed by traditional Rwandans who introduce you to their local traditions, customs. They shall also inform you about their daily lifestyles. After the adventure, you shall transfer back to lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Breakfast in the morning then embark on transfer to the famous Akagera National Park located few kilometers requiring you to transfer for 6 to 7 hours. You shall have en-route views of the green terrain, bird species as well as lunch.

After a while you shall reach the Park and proceed on an en-route Game Drive as you go to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge (Mantis).

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to enjoy a Game Drive as you traverse from one track to another watching many wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation habitat. The wildlife animals you view on Game Drive include; elephants, lions, black eastern rhinos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles and over 500 bird species.

After the Game Drive at mid Day, break off for lunch then proceed to enjoy an afternoon Boat Cruise along Lake Ihema. You watch crocodiles and hippos in the water as well as elephants, giraffes along the shores. The Boat Cruise takes a period of 3 hours. After the Boat Cruise, you shall transfer back to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge (Mantis).

Leisure breakfast then with luggage, embark on departure to the Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
