Gorilla Trekking Rules & Regulations are guidelines you need to follow when trekking the rare species of Gorillas. The Gorilla Trekking Rules & Regulations are given at the park headquarters as you go through briefing on conduct around the Gorillas.
Gorilla Trekking Rules and Regulations give you a chance to get remarkable unforgettable gorilla trekking experiences as you follow various trails in the green forest till you meet the rare species of Gorillas in their natural forest vegetation habitat. Below are the Rules and Regulations you can follow to trek the Gorillas.
- To trek Gorillas, you should be 15+ years and older.
- You should maintain silence while in the presence of the Gorillas.
- You should be in groups of 8 to trek the Gorillas
- You should stay in the presence of the rangers at all times on your trek
- You should keep a distance of 7 to 10 meters while in the presence of the Gorillas
- Do not touch Gorillas
- Avoid direct eye contact with silverbacks and Gorillas while in their presence
- You should not eat and drink in the presence of the Gorillas
- If a Gorilla approaches, you should slowly move back
- Health Rules and Regulations
- You should not trek if you are sick and not feeling well
- Masks may be required (depending on health protocols)
- The Trekking adventure takes a period of 2 to 6 hours
- An hour is allowed in the presence of the Gorillas taking photos
